Car repairs

Something's broken, or it doesn't feel right. We find out why first, then fix that. We repair engines, cooling systems, steering, electrical and sensor faults, and cars that have been through a flood.

Bring it in if you notice

  • A warning light on the dash, or one that keeps coming back
  • A new noise, a knock or a whine
  • A leak under the car, or a smell of coolant or oil
  • The temperature gauge climbing higher than usual
  • Steering that feels heavy, loose or pulls to one side
  • Electrical faults: windows, locks, screens or sensors acting up
  • The car has been in flood water

What's included

  • A look at the car and a scan for stored fault codes
  • An explanation of what we found and what it needs
  • The repair, once you approve it
  • A check that the fault has cleared before you collect the car

What we repair

Most repair work falls into a few groups: engine and cooling (including water pumps), steering racks and steering parts, links, bushings and control arms, and electrical, sensor, radar and ABS faults. Flood-damaged cars need their own approach, because water reaches wiring and control units that look fine from the outside.

If the fault sits in a control unit, or a new part needs setting up, see Coding and module repair.

How it works

We inspect, explain, and you approve before any work starts. If we spot anything else, we tell you and you decide.

Common questions

Can you tell me what's wrong over the phone?

We can listen and ask questions, and a video or sound clip helps. But the car still needs to be seen in person before we can say what's wrong.

My car isn't safe to drive. What should I do?

Tell us on the booking form or message us on WhatsApp. Say where the car is and what it's doing, and we'll talk through the options.

Do you work on my make?

We see a lot of performance and luxury cars. Tell us the make, model and year when you book and we'll confirm.
